Sahlin Studio monthly challenge - Around the World

When I saw that the Sept monthly challenge over at my fav designers blog (Sahlin Studio) was for her Around the World kit, I was pretty excited because not only do I actually own that kit, but I am also in the process of scrapping pages from our Mexico trip right now!! Bonus! Hopefully I'll win this month because I just love every new kit she comes out with, and I want to go shopping. :)

Mother's Day
After a long hiatus of not scrapbooking anything, I finally took a few minutes to create a couple of pages - on Mother's Day! A pretty quick turn around. It felt good to make some pages again. ahhhhhh

Some wintery pictures...
I've been trying to win a couple of prizes on The Lily Pad forum, and also just scrapped this page with a Sahlin Studio template I bought.
Sadly I did not win any prizes yet, but I'm going to keep on trying!! :)

Pumpkins!
Sadly, I forgot my camera when we went to the pumpkin patch this year. But I did get some fun shots of us carving the pumpkins. Zack was almost in tears because he didn't want to touch the insides of the pumpkin. But finally he did and he thought it was pretty funny. Alan baked up the pumpkin seeds and they were delicious!!

Boo kit

I saw this kit and just fell in love with it - well, I fell in love with all of the pages made by the CT. So I had to copy since I don't have these skills myself to come up with these great pages. Let's just say I'm practicing!

Block Party
I am trying to figure out if I like the new screen size of my laptop... it's a 14 inch screen. I can't decide if it's too small or not! So I made this page to try it out (and didn't go blind yet, that's a good thing!)

Cancun pages
This week I have been motivated to begin working on my Cancun book - mostly because we just booked a trip to Florida... So I have to get started on this book before our next big adventure starts! Here are some random pages that I have completed.

scraplifted, kit is “Around The World” by Brittish Designs & Sahlin Studios and “Taste of Mexico” by Brittish Designs & Sahlin Studios

ahh, the beautiful beach of Cancun...
This is going to be my first try at a two page spread in my book. Hope it turns out well!

Happy NSD!
Yes, it was National Scrapbook Day this past weekend. I did end up spending some money on a couple of kits from my fav designor, Sahlin Studios. And of course I copied all of her CT's work, because I'm just not that talented! So here is one that I threw together tonight... hopefully I will make some time soon to start on the pages from our Cancun trip. That will be a lot of work, but hopefully I'll have some great results!

Wall Art inspiration
I saw this post on the Little Dreamer Designs website from someone who had created wall art with their pictures. I thought it was beautiful... and something I could actually do myself! So here is what I came up with, using my supplies from my Jessica Sprague classes- oh and I bought an overlay to create the background, with some texture. Used a website to match up the colors in my room.

Now I just need to make one more with a picture of me and Alan on it :)
